WLSNT's twelve (12) Trustees were elected and endorsed to represent the best interests of the collective within our tupuna rohe.

Our kaumatua asked (or told) me over 35 years ago to deal with our hapu land grievances and issues to ensure they are settled for our tamariki and mokopuna, namely our future generations.
I hope to advance the aspirations of our Whanganui hapu and iwi in getting the best land settlement in our rohe.

I am involved due to my committment as Chair of the Paraweka Marae Trust, Ngati Kurawhatia representative to Te Runanga o Tamaupoko, Te Roopu Mana Whenua and as an Iwi rep for Oranga Tamariki.
I want to be part of the team to address past issues and commit to the development of whanau so that they may be given the opportunity and tools to participate in the economic and social development of their hapu.

I became involved in WLSNT from the time Ngati Kauika engaged in the Waitangi Tribunal process at that time wew were part of the Southern Cluster. I have always emphasised that I would not want to have my children or mokopuna to undertake this task but to enjoy the benefits of the mahi that is set before us today.
I hope to do the best that I can to try and put the wrongs and make it right for our whanau, hapu and Iwi. To endeavour that we as a people may achieve our dreams and aspirations whatever that maybe, that we thrive and relish those things that are most dear to us.

I am involved to ensure that Otoko within the boundaries of Te Korowai o Te Awaiti is recognised and acknowledged during this historical journey, side by side with hapu of Waikarapu.
I hope that the future of our people are never again compromised or stripped of their land and mana.

I am a former trustee of the Whanganui Southern Cluster and team representative for Wai 999. I was nominated by Putiki Marae, and approached by WLSNT Executive to come on board as a representative of Putiki.
I hope to focus on the economic development of our land for the benefit of our mokopuna, to strengthen and build on a future that gives Maori autonomous control and involvement in the decision making of our land within our tupuna rohe.

With an extensive background on environmental issues specifically fresh water fishery issues and its sustainability, I am involved to help others achieve their aspirations.
I hope to achieve better management and protection of our fisheries, better management of the National Parks, better development plans for Maori land, and collaboration to be more considered.

My involvement occurred as part of the succession through my aunt, Dardanelle Turoa-Metekingi and my tuakana, Te Waihanea Hakaraia, who had confidence in me to take over some of the responsibilities that they had carried with our whanau, hapu and iwi. I am confident that I bring a high level of fiduciary responsibility, governance and management, and many other skills to the Trust. And with the support of my whanau of Ngati Patutokotoko, I am interested in rekindling that ahika.
I hope to achieve the long term aspirations of Whanganui Iwi, to grow a sustainable economic base that will support whanau, hapu and iwi in the future, and ensure our mokopuna are left with a legacy that will enable them to achieve and maintain the founding principles of our tupuna.

My mum was a big part of our land settlements and Te Awa Tupua, and I need to do the same for my brother, sisters, our kids, mokopuna, whanau, hapu and iwi. I rere kau mai te awanui, mai i te kahui maunga ki Tangaroa, ko au te awa, ko te awa ko au. Following in the footsteps of my queen Ripeka Rupuha-Green.
I hope to learn how to put information across to all our whanau, to educate our people more about our land and understanding how we overlap one another, and to be alert at all times.

have been involved with WLSNT since the inception of the Waitangi Tribunal Land Hearings as a key researcher/presenter of various hapu customary reports. Also as a key kaikorero for the Iwi at the many hearings held throughout the Whanganui and National Park Inquiry districts.
I hope to fulfill the aspirations of the affiliated members by assisting to establish the required infrastructure and systems that will result in final settlement of our claims and therefore pave the way for the final post-settlement entity.
